Our Christmas stay was a mixed bag. the property was surrounded by lush greenery, providing a beautiful and tropical setting. We were able to spot various wildlife, including sloths and toucans, right from our lodge. the location of the hotel was convenient, with several beaches and attractions only a short walk or bike ride away. This allowed us to easily explore and make the most of our time in the area.
To our stay. the presence of bugs was quite overwhelming, which is to be expected in such a lush region.

This place is absolutely mind-blowing! The kitchen is stocked with all the cookware and utensils you could ever need. The windows facing the jungle are jaw-dropping, making you feel like you're in your own private oasis. The property is beautifully maintained, with lush plants surrounding you and creating a sense of total privacy. It's amazing to have a whole house to yourself and not feel like you're in a hotel. The daily cleaning service is a bonus, and the owner is incredibly helpful in recommending restaurants and activities. Can't wait to come back!

Had a great Xmas stay at this lodge! The location was perfect, close to a beautiful beach and a supermarket. The isolated guest houses were surrounded by a lush garden, creating a relaxed and tranquil vibe. We loved the fact that we could cook our meals in the cabin, as there was enough utensils and crockery provided. The open kitchen and windows in the bedroom allowed us to enjoy the sounds of nature, waking up to a chorus of birds every morning.
There were some aspects that could have been improved. The lack of air conditioning in the small house we stayed in made it extremely hot at night.

Hidden Gem in the Rainforest
Imagine staying in a beautiful romantic bungalow tucked away in the lush rainforest. The enchanting lights guiding our way in the evening, and the soothing sounds of nature surrounding us, made our stay at Finca Chica Lodge & Villas truly magical. The cabin itself was impeccably built, with stunning wood floors and furnishings that added to the charm. And don't worry about mosquitos, they were nowhere to be found at night. The fan provided ample cooling, and we enjoyed breakfast on the porch every morning, even plucking fresh star fruit from the nearby tree. Being close enough to Puerto Viejo for dinner while feeling secluded and safe was the perfect balance. I highly recommend this hidden gem for a truly unforgettable rainforest experience.

The beach was just a short walk away, and the supermarket next door was convenient for supplies. Cons: Almost perfect but could use a better sign for the entrance. 🚩.

We had a fantastic stay at Finca Chica Lodge & Villas. The charming villa was tastefully decorated and had a lovely decked area to relax in the evening. The lush gardens surrounding the property were teeming with wildlife, including sloths which we were thrilled to spot. The hosts were incredibly friendly and the gardener even updated us on the sloth action every morning. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the quiet end of the beach and within walking distance to everything in the evening.

The surrounding nature was spectacular, providing a beautiful and serene backdrop for our stay. The villas were spacious and had a well-equipped kitchen, which was convenient for cooking our own meals.- The beach, located just a few minutes away from the villa, was stunning and gave us easy access to enjoy the coastal beauty.
The accommodations were quite dated and in need of some maintenance. The bathroom had an old and unsafe shower, and the overall cleanliness could have been improved.
